Julle moet kyk na die positiewes. Ons speel darem altyd mooi rugby, 'n paar 50/50 calls het teen ons gegaan, ons is 'n jong span wat nog bou ens.. |

As ons forwards opdaag en die ouens speel positiewe rugby is daar geen rede waarom ons nie die een kan wen nie. Eintlik het ons nie 'n ander keuse as om te begin wen nie.

Die probleem is ons bou sonder 'n plan... Ons ontwikkelaar probeer geld spaar op verkeerde plekke, ons bouplanne is sommer agterop 'n sigaretboksie geteken en die bouvoorman was nog nooit in beheer van 'n groter projek as 'n buite toilet bou nie... Nou probeer ons bou met verwerpte mamparra stene en ou dagha en gebruik swak pleistersand om die swak bouwerk te probeer wegsteek en hoop dat alles sal beter lyk sodra dit geverf is...

Ek voel jou pyn... Dit is eintlik jammer ons het nie toegang tot die vorige forum se plasings van Loffie se dae af nie... Ek kry so ongemaklike " Deja vu" gevoel as ek na die verskonings luister... Wat my die meeste omkrap is hoe ons uit die bus uit geval het sedert the Ackerman dae.. Ons was by ver die beste span in SA, en selfs in super rugby vir 3 seisoene in die top 3. En waar sit ons nou? Ons kry pakslae teen Griquas en Pumas..

Die grootste agteruit gang was na Swys. Met hom daar was ons nog meer as kompeterend. Hy het ook geweet hoe om met die jonger spelers te werk. Ek glo ook nog Swys het baie te doen met die sukses wat Johan Ackerman gehad het veral toe hy 'n nuwe coach was. Ongelukkig met Swys kan hy nie 'n hoof coach wees want hy kan nie die druk hanteer. Sy perfekte rol is as assistent coach of konsultant veral as jy 'n coach wil aanstel met min experience

Dinge het basies uitmekaar begin val toe Ackers gewaai het, ons het skielik hope van ons voorste spelers verloor en hulle is nooit vervang met spelers van dieselfde kwaliteit nie. Ons onder 20's het ook net te lank gevat om deur te kom, en baie van hulle het basies nie die step up na die volgende vlak gemaak nie

Hierdie is seker nie die regte thread hiervoor nie, but here goes... Ek het die eerste keer in 2010 seisoenkaartjies gekoop (die jaar van die Dick Muir disaster), maar Mitchell het darem oorgevat in die CB daardie jaar, wat mens bietjie hoop gegee het en besluit het om maar die kaartjies te hernieu in 2011. Daardie jaar wen ons die Curriebeker en hernieu weer vir 2012. Van 2014 tot 2020 het ons dit elke jaar weer gedoen, en was Ellispark die plek om te wees op 'n Saterdag. Ek sal altyd 'n Leeu-supporter wees, maar op die oomblik sien ek min hoop. Tensy daar binnekort groot veranderinge kom sal ek eerder my geld spandeer om aan my handicap te werk op 'n Saterdagmiddag as om weer seisoenkaartjies te koop as ons eendag weer kan. Sorry oor die "rant"

The Currie Cup match will kick-off at 16:45. The Lions U20s will get their SA Rugby u20 Championship preparations underway on Friday, when they welcome the Cell C Sharks u20s to Johannesburg in a friendly match. This is an exciting side, which will be captained by Junior Boks’ captain, Sasko Ndlovu. The match kicks off at 12:00.
