World Cup - 1987


The Rugby World Cup in 1987 was the first time that a World Cup was held for Rugby Union. New Zealand and Australia were the host nations.

There was no qualification for the first Rugby World Cup in 1987, so the seven countries that were then part of the IRFB and nine invited countries took part.
