Lions 83 (38) vs Valke 14 (14)

Lions outclass the Valke in Brakpan

Valke concede thirteen tries

The Lions were much too strong for the Valke in Brakpan on Friday night, beating them 83-14 after leading 38-14 at the break. The Lions scored 13 tries to the 2 by the Valke, and five Lions players scored two tries each, namely Jaco van Schalkwyk, Michale Killian, Doppies la Grange, Ethienne Reynecke and Rayno Benjamin.

The worrying thing is that Mostert, Jonck, Venter and La Grange left the field with injuries, Mostert and Jonck with serious injuries and we still wait to see how serious the injuries of the two number 12's are.
Jaco van Schalkwyk also received a red card for a spear tackle, which probably means at least a one-match ban for him.
