Lions beat the odds and the Bulls at Loftus

Blue Bulls come back strong but fail to steal the win

The Lions went to Loftus as underdogs, and then surprised by beating the log leaders, the Bulls, 30-27 on Friday evening. The Lions scored four tries to three, and were leading 20-13 at the break, after scoring in the last moments in the first half with the scores level at thirteen all, and then they went further ahead in the second half to lead 30-13 at one stage, and then the Bulls fought back with two tries and threatened to steal the match from the Lions, but luckily the Lions managed to keep them from scoring any further after that and get a great win away from home. Willie Wepener with his two tries was named man of the match.
