En hy is al so 4 seisoene of wat in beheer. Basies net so lank soos Ackermann in beheer was. En met Ackers was ons op die brink van collapse en relegeer uit SR toe hy aangestel was.

Hy is 30 Oktober 2019 aangestel as hoofafrigter, so seker nou 3 jaar en 2 maande in charge, maar ek dink die probleem is seker covid wat geslaan het 5 maande na sy aanstelling, ek dink nie ons besef hoe seer dit die unie finansieel geslaan het nie

Ackers kan seker stry dat die relegasie en die hordes spelers wat gewaai het ons net so erg (dalk erger) getref het in 2012 en 2013. Geen Borge, geen kompetisie om in te speel, ens.

Ja COVID was bad, maar dit voel of selfs die Cheetahs ons tans sal n go gee, as ook die Pumas en Griquas. So ek dink nie dat kan as die absolute verskoning gebruik word vir ons swak vertonings.

WP is nogsteeds onder administrasie en hulle doen verre gaande beter as ons. Hulle afrigting is myle beter as ons s'n. As ons iemand soos n Dobson gehad het, sou ons nie in so posisie gewees het nie. Punt klaar.

Onthou, selfs in die SR kompetie voor COVID was ons erg besig om pak te kry. As dit nie vir COVID was nie, sou ons n paar keer pakslae gekry het in 2020 (meer as wat ons reeds tot dusver gekry het daardie seisoen).

Dit mag waar wees, maar vergelyk die span wat hy ge-erf het teenoor die een wat Cash ge-erf het. Dan neem in ag hulle is onder administrasie vir meeste van die tyd wat hy daar afrig as hoof afrigter. Hy is ook eers as hul SR afrigter in 2019 aangestel en nooit laaste in die Currie Cup gekom nie (sorry né, Cash) die vergelyking lyk glad nie goed as ek so aanhou.

En dit gaan hier nie oor Dobson nie, maar om te highlight die verskil tussen n competent coach en n nie so competent ene op die vlak. Baie ander unies en spanne het ook hordes verskonings, maar niemand van hulle gebruik dit as n kruk om op te lê. En nie een van hulle sit met die sukkel vertonings soos ons tans beleef die laaste paar jaar. Hel, WP en die Bulle het ook klomp jong spelers, so selfs dit is nie n verskoning nie.

Lol, jy neem aan dit is net oor finansies. Ek dink dit is eerder dat die besluitnemers daar bo in die Unie op hul hande sit en net lekker pay cheque trek in plaas van om iets te doen aan die stand van sake.

@Tuna Lion, jy is heeltemal reg met jou stelling. Ek persoonlik as CEO sal iets gedoen het as my maatskappy so sukkel. Niemand sal geld wil spandeer om na n getjommel te wil gaan kyk nie, sal eerder hulle geld op n ander plek spandeer.
Die gevaar tekens is al hier vir n paar jaar en wanneer gaan ons ag slaan op die tekens. Dit sal n baie slegte dag wees as een van die oudste rugby unies sy deure sluit en soos dinge nou daar uitsien is dit n realiteit om nie te ignoreer nie.
