Die laaste Curriebeker semi-finaal wat die Leeus gewen het was in 2015, hulle het toe ook die finaal gewen en daarna 3 goeie jare in Super Rugby beleef. (2016, 2017 en 2018). In 2016, 2017 en 2018 het die Leeus wel ook in Curriebeker semi-finale gespeel, maar elke keer verloor. In 2015 klop ons die Cheetahs 43-33 op Ellispark In 2016 verloor ons 55-17 teen die Cheetahs in Bloem (Die Leeus het ons nog na die wedstryd geshuttle) In 2017 verloor ons 19-5 teen WP op Nuweland In 2018 verloor ons 33-24 teen die Haaie in Durban.

| Hoop ons kan vir 80 minute speel soos die eerste 40 minute in Kimberley (net die skrum het gesukkel)... ons het in Griekwas se gebied gespeel, was geduldig en ons balbeheer en hantering was baie goed in die eerste helfte. |

Venter did not get time to settle, he has a lot of potential. I am sure the Sharks will utilise him beter, seeing that they have lost the twins. Tambwe in my opinion is very underrated. When he gets close chances are 90% he gets over, he has the ability to find the hole or to beat the man. Yes he did have some defensive issues, but it seems he is more committed to making the tackle these days. |

Sien dit op super rugby Griquas coach Brent Janse van Rensburg will finally settle down in Durban where he has been appointed to steer the Sharks ship to calmer waters. Undoubtedly one on the finest rugby brains in the country, which he once against proved against this season, Janse van Rensburg has finally landed the big job that has been avoiding him in his immediate past. He is a student of the game and the ideal successor to Robert du Preez. Griquas won the SuperSport Challenge and are challenging for a spot for their first Currie Cup final since Mannetjies Roux’s team of 1970. He also won the SS Challenge with the Pumas last season but hasn’t been able to finally settle in his search for the big job. ------------- Once a Lion always a lion |

| Great game by the Lions. Our defence was decent, especially our scramble defence, when they camped on our tryline. We will have to step it up a couple notches if we want to bring the trophy back home. i think it will be a case of which team is the fitter team in the end. |
