The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee has accepted a guilty plea from Jed Holloway of the Waratahs for contravening Law 9.12: A player must not physically abuse anyone, after he was Red Carded during a Super Rugby Match at the Weekend. Holloway has been suspended from all forms of the game for 3 weeks, up to and including 18 May 2019. The incident occurred in the 45th minute of the match between the Waratahs and Sharks played at Bankwest Stadium in Sydney on 18 May 2019. The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee of Adam Casselden SC (Chairman), Stefan Terblanche and Eroni Clarke assessed the case. In his finding, Foul Play Review Committee Chairman Adam Casselden SC ruled the following: "Having conducted a detailed review of all the available evidence, including all camera angles and additional evidence, including from the player and submissions from his legal representative, Aaron Lloyd, the Foul Play Review Committee upheld the Red Card under Law 9.12." "With respect to sanction the Foul Play Review Committee deemed the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of 6 weeks due to the World Rugby instructions that dictate any incident of foul play involving contact with the head must start at a mid-range level. However, taking into account mitigating factors including the Player's clean judicial record, the Player's expressed remorse and the fact the Player has pleaded guilty at the first available opportunity, the Foul Play Review Committee reduced the suspension to 3 weeks." "The player is therefore suspended for 3 weeks, up to and including 18 May 2019.” All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to the Foul Play Review Committee to provide the option of expediting the judicial process. For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the Foul Play Review Committee. |

| Ek haat dit as spelers se truie vasgehou word en het eintlik baie lekker gekry dat Du Toit so bietjie medisyne gekry het daarvoor. |

| Die volgende ding wat ek graag sal wil sien uitgesorteer moet word, kyk 'n bietjie hoe meng die hardlopers sonder die bal in met 'n verdedigende lyn waar die bal agter die hardlopers aangegee word. Dis uit en uit obstruksie en gebeur amper in elke wedstryd, en ek het dit nog nie een keer gesien straf word die jaar nie |

Wat het gebeur in hierdie insident? Stem oor die hardlopers se obstruksie. Ook wanneer forwards langs 'n ruck gaan staan om die scrummie te beskerm wat gaan skop. Dit irriteer die kak uit my uit as 'n scrummie vir sy forwards eers wys om daar te gaan staan, en dan staan hy so wydsbeen en hou die bal vir nog so min vas voor hy uiteindelik skop

Terwyl ons op goed is wat ons irriteer. In 7's rugby as iemand oor hardloop vir n drie, maar hy gaan staan eers en wag vir 'n opponent om tot by hom te hardloop voor hy die bal druk..

Dit was 'n Waratahs ruck, en die skrummie het geboxkick, en die Waratahs slot (Jed Holloway) wou toe die skop jaag, maar Thomas du Toit hou toe sy trui vas en keer dat hy die skop jaag, Holloway gooi toe 'n elmboog sonder om regtig te kyk waarheen, en sy elmboog tref Du Toit toe netjies op die kakebeen, Du Toit se bene het toe bietjie jellierig geraak en hy het neergesak. TMO het daarna gekyk en die uiteinde van die saak was 'n rooi kaart vir Holloway en 'n geel kaart vir Du Toit
