Hierdie is beslis ñ geleentheid vir baie van die spelers om hand op te steek. Daar is beslis ñ paar posisies in die 'a' span wat nie verseker is nie.

Lyk na 'n span wat goed kan doen op 'n vinnige droee veld. Sal moet sien of hulle beter kan doen in die nat omstandighede as verlede week se span. Twee junior skakels in 'n wegwedstryd kan dalk werk, maar om dan een van hulle kaptein te maak is sotlik. Giani Lombaard, Jordan Hendrikse, Wolhurter en 'n paar ander, is veels te vroeg ryp gedruk voor hulle gereed is vir groot wedstryde. Hoop WJ Steenkamp doen goed op 8, want as oopkantflank staan hy tans agter JC. Renzo en Cairns.

Hierdie span is super naby aan ons CurrieBeker span, met net net paar uitsonderings.

Ekt amper meer hoop vir hierdie span. Ek wou Cronje en Jonker uitsonder, maar die agterlyn hou ek baie van.

Ospreys span is 'n goed afgerigde span. Hulle het ons tuis en weg geklop laas seisoen en die Stormers in Kaapstad ore aangesit 'n paar maande terug. Ons pak en veral ons flanke (Pretorius, Esterhuizen) was prominent in die eerste helfde. Swakpunt was ons skakels ( Francis is 'n jong speler in vreemde omstandighede, so mens kan dit verstaan), maar beide Steyn en Nohambla was super swak. Wanneer laas die afgelope drie jaar het ons 'n 10 gehad wat 'n 'n goeie spelskepper is en effektief naby die voordeellyn speel.

Nohamba is goed in gebroke spel op 'n droee veld. Op swaar nat velde is hy uit sy element. Probleem is dat ons tans nie 'n 10 het wat spel kan dikteer nie.

My takeaway is dat Ospreys 'n goeie CC span sal wees Tongue

Terg sommer net, maar baie van hierdie spelers het lanklaas gespeel is baie jonk en dit was hul eerste games in hierdie kompetisie of selfs buite SA. Dit was naby aan Ospreys se sterkste span (glo ek) want daar was heelwat internasionale spelers in hul span, so om net met 18 punte te verloor is nie te sleg nie. Veral met Francis se paar mis skoppe en Nohamba wat blykbaar nie kan uitskop met strafskoppe nie wat ons baie gekos het.
