Curwin Bosch will start at flyhalf when the Sharks take on the Lions in Sunday’s pre-season match at the Cape Town Stadium.

With Rob du Preez having only recently returned from a stint with the Sale Sharks, Bosch will form the halfback pairing with captain Louis Schreuder.

Elsewhere in the backline, Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo Am are both back from injury, while Marius Louw and Lukhanyo Am will combine in the midfield.

The pack has a mix between youth and experience, with Boks Thomas du Toit and Dan du Preez set for starts.

Sharks – 15 Lwazi Mvovo, 14 S’bu Nkosi, 13 Lukhanyo Am, 12 Marius Louw, 11 Makazole Mapimpi, 10 Curwin Bosch, 9 Louis Schreuder (c), 8 Dan du Preez, 7 Tyler Paul, 6 Jacques Vermeulen, 5 Hyron Andrews, 4 Gideon Koegelenberg, 3 Thomas du Toit, 2 Kerron van Vuuren, 1 Juan Schoeman.

15. Andries Coetzee, 14. Ruan Combrinck, 13. Lionel Mapoe, 12. Harold Vorster, 11. Aphiwe Dyantyi, 10. Elton Jantjies, 9. Ross Cronje, 8. Warren Whiteley, 7. Cyle Brink, 6. Kwagga Smith, 5. Stephan Lewies, 4. Marvin Orie, 3. AN Other, 2. Malcolm Marx, 1. Dylan Smith
