The Sharks have secured the services of Springbok centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg on a three-year deal.

Janse van Rensburg, who played only one Test for the Boks in 2016, will join the Durbanites from the Sale Sharks in Manchester, where he has been based since making a permanent move from the Lions in 2018.

The 27-year-old was seen as a missing piece in the puzzle for the Sharks, as the Durban side are reportedly set to lose inside centre Marius Louw to the Lions.

At 1.83m and 109kg, Janse van Rensburg offers the Sharks the kind of muscle in midfield they have been missing since Andre Esterhuizen left the team for England.

It is yet another big transfer coup for the coastal outfit, after luring Bok enforcer Eben Etzebeth back home from Toulon.

Ruan is goed maar het so paar van sy games gekyk vir sale hy het redelik beserings gekry en sy hande het hom paar keer in die steek gelaat en sy verdediging was nie altyd goed nie bly seker n goeie signing Marius Louw het baie potensiaal voel ek persoonlik

I think if he stayed in England another year he could get residency, why would he not take advantage of that?? Why come back here??

It makes me sad that so many of the former Lions don't want to come back to the union. Brink, Dylan, Rohan, etc.

Ek het nie baie van Henco van Wyk gesien nie, hulle rate hom hoog, die bietjie wat ek gesien het lyk hy meer na n binne senter, wat dink julle?

Hy is baie goed,  hul moet hom net behoorlik kans gee. Hy gaan die beste 13 in SA word.

LION1986 ek stem saam die bietjie wat ek van hlm gesien het is baie belowend wens net hulle kan daai Mannie Ras pos want hel hy is glad nie goed genoeg nie hy is een van daai manne as hy weg gaan by ons gaan hy nie sommer gekoop word iewers heen nie want hy is nie goed genoeg volgens my nie

Mannie Rass is n voorbeeld van wat fout is met die unie. Swak spelers kry 100 kanse maar die belowende spelers moet dit eers "verdien" .
Ons hou so aan en dan wonder ons hoekom ouens die unie verlaat vir ander SA spanne.

Strauli se seun het selfs al baie kanse gekry die afgelope paar jaar en niemand weet hoekom nie.
