Wat ek nie verstaan nie, is hoekom kon hulle nie die komende naweek speel nie? Daar is anyway nie CC games hierdie naweek nie.

Dink dit is om miskien die ouens in die URC te kan gebruik en vice versa as Covid die squads tref. Dink die realiteit is dit gaan gebeur, so dit is eintlik nice dat alles nie op dieselfde dag gebeur nie

Maar dan sal ons nou bv in die URC met 'n moeg span moes speel as ons URC span getref word deur COVID, deurdat die CC span dan 3 wedstryde in 8 dae moet speel, wat ook nie veel help nie.

So dit maak eerlikwaar min sin vir my, ek sal eerder dan net die 28-0 uncontested verloor vat as wat 'n mens 89-7 moet verloor soos wat Montpellier se 2de/3de span teen Leinster hierdie naweek verloor het. En Leinster is een van die spanne in die URC. So not in my lifetime will ek hê ons U20's moet teen Leinster of enige URC span speel, selfs as hulle nie 3 games in 8 dae moet speel nie en uitgerus is.

Die ander spanne in die URC speel ook mos in meer as 1 comp, so iewers sal dit miskien gelyk wees, maar ja ek hoor wat jy sê. Daar is seker n kwessie van TV regte en logistics wat ook nie lekker werk op dieselfde dag nie

Sigma Lions Name Match 23 for Pumas Clash

The Sigma Lions have named their team ahead of their second Carling Currie Cup encounter against the Pumas at Emirates Airline Park on Wednesday, 19 January 2022.

At the back, former Junior Springboks Tyler Bocks and Manuel Rass link up in the midfield. Scrumhalf Ginter Smuts starts in the number nine position to face his old side.

Other changes sees lock Lunga Ncube slot in for the injured Simon Dionisio. Sibusiso Sangweni and Morne Brandon (both who did duty for the Emirates Lions on their Vodacom United Rugby Championship away tour) complete the forward pack.
