Ek moes so ruk terug skoonmaak en het toe threads verwyder waarin ons vir so 6 maande niks in gese het nie, dalk het dit so in die slag gebly. Yes, people do get emotional regarding actions that could affect their daughters/sisters/wives. Al hierdie dinge dra ook by tot die vordering van die span. So - ek is glad nie 'n gelukkige ondersteuner nie.
I met with Rudolf today. The Lions followed processes. Joey did not mess with any female staff member of the Lions. Evidence leaves some doubt as to what actually happened between him and the lady in question. The Lions could only charge Joey with bringing the company in to disrepute. He has duly been found guilty by a competent and experienced independent labour lawyer. The Lions followed the recommendations by the lawyer. He has received a final warning plus remedial action that he has to undertake. He is deeply upset that he brought the GLRU into disrepute, and believes that he will be able to prove his innocent. Him and his family have to bear the legal costs of the case. So I think that he has received punishment enough for this.
Yet, an "independent" court in a first world country found him guilty beyond reasonable doubt... 
Those racist Aussies must have thought that the Lions will fire him and thus leave us without a quality defense coach causing us to leak tries and miss the playoffs!!!

So it would've been different if he did it with a female GLRU employee? I don't understand the reasoning here. As Tvl said, he was found guilty in an Aus court for a sexual offence. If that is not serious enough to dismiss someone I don't know what is. 
Then he could have been charged with sexual misconduct by the GLRU. We get very emotional when it comes to sexual misconduct charges. Short and tall of it is that it is a he said/she said case. There is evidence that points to lack of animosity between Joey and his accuser. If anyone wants more clarity, contact Rudolf and allow him to explain the situation. They followed the recommendations by the labour consultant. Firing him would have opened another can of worms. 
The so called first world courts also make mistakes. I know of someone who was convicted and imprisoned in a far worse case than this. Eventually the accused was found not guilty and the courts had to release the accused. And compensate for time spent in jail. So lets not kid ourselves that everything is hunky dory with the Aus legal system, or anywhere else in the world.
